Autorización de regreso
Autorización de regreso: travelling before your card is ready
An autorización de regreso allows a resident from outside the EU to travel abroad and come back while their TIE is being renewed, replaced or still being made, since airlines and border guards may not accept the receipt alone. In Granada it is requested from the police in advance, with a cita previa.
When you need one
- Your residence is being renewed and your card has expired
- Your first authorisation is granted but the TIE has not been issued
- Your card was lost or stolen and a replacement is in process
Requesting it
The request is made to the police on a date booked through the cita previa for the province, with your passport, the proof that your renewal or your card is in process (the receipt from your TIE fingerprints, for instance), and the receipt of the 790-012 fee under the return authorisation option. If the journey is urgent, bring evidence of the reason.
